MANCHESTER: Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United’s training camp in Carrington yesterday.
After being suspended for the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan, Ronaldo was released early by the Portuguese squad.
It allowed Ronaldo to re -adjust to United’s training ground and meet his former team -mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is now the team’s manager.
Ronaldo may have to wait until this Tuesday – meeting the Young Boys in Champions League action – for his first full appearance.
Ronaldo started training at Carrington yesterday but was unable to join other teammates until Friday when they returned from representing their respective countries.
The English Premier League action against Newcastle this Saturday will likely see Ronaldo come in as a substitute, and United fans are not missing out on the chance to get a ticket.
The fitness factor is not a problem for the 36 -year -old Portuguese, who just broke the international scoring record against the Republic of Ireland last week.
