MADRID: Carlo Ancelotti has returned to Real Madrid as manager for three seasons, the Spanish club announced.

“Hello Madrid!” said the 61 -year -old operator who replaced Zinedine Zidane.

Ancelotti, who won the Champions League with Real Madrid when he first coached the club from 2013 to 2015, will sign his contract today.

Real Madrid did not wait long to find a replacement for Zidane, who ended his second era as manager last Thursday.

Ancelotti will return to join club president Florentino Perez who ousted him in 2015, just a year after he awarded them their 10th Champions League title.

Ancelotti has a contract until 2024 with Everton, but the Italian operator, whose wife is from Spain, said he enjoys life in the city of Madrid.

Everton will begin the process of appointing a new operator as soon as possible.
