LONDON: Manchester United bounced back from a deficit to beat Brighton 2-1 earlier this morning to reduce Manchester City’s advantage in the Premier League to 14 points.
This was not the first time this season, United needed a resurgence in the second half after a loose performance in the first 45 minutes then picked up three points thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
Danny Welbeck opened the scoring for the Seagulls against the old club before Lewis Dunk’s attempt hit the crossbar for the visitors.
However Brighton repeated the same story this season when failing to make full use of dominance before the break.
Rashford scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute from a Bruno Fernandes pass.
Fernandes was once again involved in finding the winning goal when his cross was taken by Paul Pogba who then made an attempt and reached Greenwood to score his second goal in the league this season.
