Conte Is Confident Spurs Future Is Bright

LONDON: Antonio Conte insists there is no reason to be disappointed after his return to the Premier League with Tottenham ended in a goalless draw at Everton.

Tottenham failed to test Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford when no accurate attempts were made, much like during the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last week.

Yet Conte feels there is still a lot of room for improvement and he is ready to work on improving it in the coming weeks and months.

“I have to feel happy for another reason. The first Goodison Park is not an easy place to play against Everton especially after a busy week.

“Of course we can improve it and have a lot of room for improvement. I see the seriousness of the players, their fighting spirit, sacrifice and understanding this difficult moment. It makes me more confident.

“The art of tactics and physicality can be taught, but it’s a matter of heart, interest, determination, determination, it’s up to the individual. The players showed we were in a good position to start working hard,” Conte said.
